My Radio Shack

Last updated 20 JUN 2021.

My radio shack is pretty basic. It consists of an Icom IC-7300 transceiver with power supply, an LDG AT-600ProII antenna tuner and an MFJ-891 SWR/Wattmeter. This provides me with 10 through 80 meters capability, plus 6 meters.

The antenna is a hy-gain DX-88 vertical, which I am very happy with. After following the instructions to assemble the antenna, I put it up and checked the SWR on 10 through 80M and it was spot on. I didn't have to make any adjustments to it after the initial assembly.

For UHF/VHF, I have a Yeasu FT-8800R for a base station and a Yaesu FTM-300DR for a mobile station. I have an Astron RS-20M power supply for the base station. For the base station I have a Diamond V2000A 2M/440/6M vertical. I particularly like the fact that the FT-8800R is basically two radios in one and I can monitor two frequencies at the same time. I have an FT-60R dual-band HT. I've been very happy Yaesu rigs for UHF/VHF for many years.
